There’s a cheat code in the Wellyott culinary experience and it’s called truffle.
Truffle mash, truffle sauce, truffle mac ‘n’ cheese. It’s an instant-win button that any cook can hit at any time to make me go bonkers for whatever dish they put in front of me.
1154 have smashed that button.
The Mac ‘N’ Cheeks is a gooey, saucy burger that refuses to compromise on its vision. A proper meat patty, with braised beef cheeks give the burger a rich meaty bite that fills your mouth with full-bodied juices. The bun is deliriously soft, as if the crust was carved off carefully by a fussy mother. The mac ‘n’ cheese oozes cheese and pasta that add to the richness of this thing. The truffle mayo explodes with flavour with every bite and lingers long after you’ve finished. To curb the sheer softness, there’s a whole ass onion slice that’s grilled to tenderness, yet still adds that crunch it needs to feel strong and sturdy.
I don’t think they even needed to hit the cheat code but I’m glad they did. This a top notch burger, from start to finish, despite all the messiness inherent in it design. I can still taste the buttery, truffly goodness a day later and I’m not complaining.
